Mancini's Sleepworld
Mancini's mattress showroom on San Ysidro Avenue in Gilroy, with Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Casper and its own line.
Acerca de
A mattress is one of the few things people shop for lying down, and Mancini's Sleepworld runs a showroom for it at 8767 San Ysidro Avenue, near Leavesley Road in the Gilroy Crossing shopping area. The store is one of the Northern California showrooms of a regional mattress and furniture retailer headquartered in Livermore, and it answers on 408-846-5300, the number in this listing. Bob Gutierrez is listed as site manager.
Beds and brands on the floor
The retailer's page for the Gilroy store lists innerspring, memory foam, hybrid and gel foam mattresses. Brands named include Tempur-Pedic, Avocado, Sealy, Casper and Helix, alongside the company's own Sleepworld line. Delivery is offered, and in-home setup is available for an extra fee; the store page sets out the delivery terms and its comfort and warranty policies, which are worth reading in full before you buy.
Shopping for a mattress here
Give each shortlisted mattress several minutes in the position you actually sleep in, and bring your own pillow if its height matters to you. Ask how long you have to exchange a bed that turns out wrong, what the exchange requires, and whether a pickup or restocking fee applies. Confirm the delivery window, whether the crew carries the bed upstairs and takes the old one away, and what the setup fee covers. Keep the label on and the receipt somewhere safe, since warranty claims usually ask for both. Measure the bed frame, stairwell and doorways at home before a king or an adjustable base arrives.
Hours and the South County drive
The showroom is open every day, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Gilroy is the last city on Highway 101 before the road leaves Santa Clara County, and shoppers come down from San Martin and Morgan Hill, from south San Jose, and from Campbell, Los Gatos, Milpitas and the city of Santa Clara when they want a weekday visit without the crowds.
Call 408-846-5300 to check that a model is on the floor before you drive over.

Preguntas frecuentes
Típico de este tipo de negocioHow long should I test a mattress in the store?
Spend several minutes on each finalist in the position you sleep in, and bring your own pillow if you can. A short sit on the edge says little about how a mattress will feel overnight.
What should I ask about exchanges?
Ask how many nights you have to decide, whether the exchange requires buying a mattress protector or keeping the label on, and whether pickup, restocking or delivery fees apply to the replacement.
Will the delivery crew remove my old mattress?
Ask when you buy. Many retailers offer removal of the old bed, sometimes for a fee, and California has a mattress recycling program. Confirm stairs, the delivery window and setup charges at the same time.
What are the store hours?
The Gilroy showroom lists its hours as 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Call 408-846-5300 to confirm a model is in stock before you visit.
